Trump Claims Final Victory in 2024 Could 'Fix Everything' for Christians"

Former President Donald Trump spoke at an event hosted by the conservative Christian organization, Turning Point Action, on Friday. He urged Christians to vote in the upcoming November election, suggesting that if they elected him, they wouldn't need to vote again in four years because "everything" would be "fixed."

"Christians, get out and vote, just this time," Trump said to a cheering crowd in West Palm Beach, Florida. "You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians," he added.

Trump continued, "I love you Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you, get out, you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again, we’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote."

His comments emphasize the importance of voter turnout in what is expected to be a closely contested election. Both parties are working to mobilize their most dedicated supporters.

The election landscape has shifted dramatically with Vice President Kamala Harris's sudden emergence as the likely Democratic presidential nominee. President Joe Biden recently dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris. Since then, Democrats have rallied around her, showing increased enthusiasm for her candidacy. Harris, who is 59 years old, contrasts with Biden's age and counters one of the main criticisms Republicans had against the Biden campaign.

Trump, who is 78, has also seen the Republican Party unify around his candidacy, especially after a failed assassination attempt at one of his rallies on July 13. This incident concluded with Trump raising a defiant fist, encouraging his supporters to continue fighting, despite a minor injury.

Before these recent developments, there was a general lack of enthusiasm surrounding the Trump-Biden race, with some speculating that voter turnout could be lower than in previous elections. However, a recent New York Times/Siena College poll suggests increasing support and enthusiasm for both Harris and Trump, with fewer voters expressing dislike for both candidates.

Polls indicate that Trump, once seen as the clear favorite against Biden, now faces a tighter race with Harris. Recent polling data from Fox News shows Harris and Trump tied in key states like Pennsylvania and Michigan, with Trump leading by a small margin in Wisconsin.

An important factor to watch will be whether Harris and Trump will participate in a debate in the coming months. Harris is on track to secure the Democratic nomination, with no significant opposition within her party. Trump was previously scheduled to debate Biden in September, but it remains uncertain if this will proceed with Harris, especially as Trump has suggested the debate be moved from ABC to Fox News.
