In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Jericho shared his thoughts: "John is a WWE man through and through. I would be so surprised if he ever did anything outside of WWE. Congratulations to him on his incredible career. I loved our matches. It's not like he's riding off into the sunset—he has a lot of projects going on, and I wish him all the best."
Cena's retirement tour is set to start in December and will continue through the end of 2025. This tour will include major events like the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania. By the end of this tour, Cena will have spent 23 years in WWE, wrestling at least once a year since his debut in 2002.
During their careers, Cena and Jericho had many matches, with Jericho being one of Cena’s early major challengers after Cena rose to prominence in WWE in 2005. Jericho’s losses to Cena that year were part of the storyline that led to Jericho’s first hiatus from WWE in the 2000s.
