Darby Allin Wins Royal Rampage for the Second Year, Earns Title Shot at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam

On the July 26th episode of AEW Rampage, Darby Allin emerged victorious in the Royal Rampage battle royal for the second consecutive year. This win grants him a shot at the world title at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.

The battle royal included notable competitors such as Claudio Castagnoli, Brian Cage, Orange Cassidy, Brody King, Jeff Jarrett, Kyle O’Reilly, and others. A significant moment in the match occurred when "Hangman" Adam Page intervened, fiercely attacking Jeff Jarrett, which set Jarrett up for elimination by Brian Cage.

Darby Allin showcased his resilience throughout the match, ultimately eliminating Castagnoli to secure his victory and a spot at Grand Slam. Allin is expected to challenge the winner of the upcoming title match between Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson at AEW All In.

This marks the second year in a row that Allin has won the Royal Rampage. In 2023, he used his victory to challenge for the TNT Championship at AEW All Out.

In addition to his upcoming title shot, Darby Allin has also expressed a desire to compete for the TNT Championship again. He called out Jack Perry on the July 20th episode of AEW Dynamite, and a potential match was teased during the Blood & Guts event on July 24th. However, AEW has not yet officially confirmed this contest. WrestleZone will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
